New

 We are in a new year and there are so many new transitions and changes coming up. 

We are getting a new alternate couple, a new assistant, and due to this we hope to officially open Maple with a new resident next week.  And on top of that, we are in the last month waiting for our new baby to come. 

We are so thankful that more staff have come to join us here at Gateway. It has been an answer to prayer. We are looking forward to finally getting residents and opening up our own house. 

This of course comes with anxieties and stress as we all navigate a lot of change and transition. 

We are so thankful that after a scare for the baby's health, we got a good report today and everything is on track again for a late January/early February baby.  Gideon and Aurelia are excited and keep asking if I can get the baby out. They may have an ulterior motive. I told them the would get to stay with Grandma and play at Rita's house when the baby comes. :)

Maple house could use a lot of prayers over the next few weeks. 

We are thankful we were able to travel back to Illinois for Christmases.   We've been kept busy around campus but have still had time to enjoy with the kids.  We haven't gotten quite the snow and ice that they have back in Illinois but we have had a few days of snowy ice.
