Prayer Requests

Maple House

We are now up to five residents. Three have come in the past three weeks. There is a lot that comes with intake, building relationships, and setting up structure with new residents. Pray for our residents that we can build relationships and they can feel safe here. 

Pete and Jolene Zimmerman (Alternates) and Amber Ehnle (Assistant) make up the rest of our team. They are doing fantastically. But with new residents and more residents than ever before, communication and consistency as a team is important. Pray for our team that we can work together for the benefit of our residents. 

Elodie has made family life a whole lot busier. Aurelia is now potty training. Pray for us that we can balance it all.

Pray for us that we could be wise in decision making,  patient towards our kids, patient with new residents, consistent as a team, and  find time to rest and replenish. 

Pray for our energy. 

Pray that above  all we can share the gospel of Christ and bring glory to God. 

Pray that the residents who enter Maple house could feel known, loved, and safe and that some day they could come to know Christ. 

Continuing Pray requests:
For the hearts and souls of our residents. For wisdom and words for Nathan and I and the rest of our team. And for God to continue to move in their lives.

For more house parents- this job comes with a lot of stress and isn't a 'normal' family life, thus it leads to high turn over as the needs of families and children change.  We'd love to not be the newbies :)

For Assistant House Parents- We need singles with a heart for the hurting and lost. 'Assistant' doesn't cut it. Their role is vital.  Assistants play just as much a part, if not more, as we do. They connect the team and keep us running. We are in need of  two Assistants to keep things running smoothly.

For health on campus and all of Gateway as we navigate new Federal laws that change how we do business and who we can serve. 

Praise for how God has brought Gateway through COVID.
